When only slides are received
- After accessioning preview the slides and make sure they correspond to the paper work provided by the outside Institution. Try to gather recent clinical information including radiology data from referring doctor, MARS, Stentor and Copath.
- If you need to request blocks/unstained slides on the case, specify from which block and let Christina Romanello know. She will make the request.
When slides and blocks are received
- Preview the slides and send block to Histology. Order appropriate stains and/or blanks and remember to order an additional HE for our records.
When wet tissue is received
